Nestled in the woodland near New Road; The Clearing is an award-winning unique community and outdoor educational space with its distinctive design and parachute over the main space. There are some amazing workshops, volunteer sessions and events run by our partners.
Creative Nature HQ
Creative Nature connects people with nature and ancient woodland crafts. They offer:-
- Forest Club Volunteer Sessions – meet liked minded people every Thursday to learn woodland crafts and woodland management skills
- Woodland Workshops – opportunity to learn wood carving, whittling, making withy sculptures for your garden
- Corporate Team Building Skills bring your team together in a build setting, you get the chance to immerse yourselves in nature, while retaining the convenience of an urban location.
- Woodland Birthdays host your child’s birthday in the wood includes food

Woodland Whisperers
Woodland Whisperers run a weekly Forest School session currently on Wednesdays for SEN children and homeschool children. They create a warm and welcoming space for children for with additional needs and provide opportunities for home school families to come together to learn new skills and meet other likeminded people.
They also run crafting activities during the school holiday.

North West Kent Countryside Partnership
North West Kent Countryside Partnership have developed a bespoke educational programme for Early Years that links activities to the Foundation Stage Curriculum. Morning or afternoon sessions will be offered on Friday, enabling your little explorers to engage with fun activities in the woods based around text such as Going on a Bear Hunt. Artists and storytellers Bernadette Russell and Sophie Austin transform The Clearing into a magical space of stories for both adults and children.
